1st Annual CAWG Foundation Golf Tournament

Known for gracious and elegant accommodations, sensational cuisine, healing thermal mineral waters and luxurious spa treatments, Fairmont Sonoma Mission Inn & Spa's Wine Country experience includes access to a championship golf course at Sonoma Golf Club.

The course was designed under the auspices of Sonoma Mission Inn in 1928 by Sam Whiting, architect of San Francisco's prestigious Olympic Club Lake Course. Playing just over 7,100 yards from the championship tees, this classic layout offers strategic choices and challenges that excite golfers swinging graphite and titanium just as it did when they were carrying hickory and persimmon. In fact, the Sonoma Golf Club was the former home of the PGA Champions Tour season ending Charles Schwab Cup Championship.

Enjoy a lovely day on the course, networking and supporting the CAWG Foundation. Each year the Foundation awards two 4-year scholarships and four 2-year scholarships to high school seniors whose parent or legal guardian is employed by a California winegrape grower. In addition, one Robert Miller Memorial Scholarship is awarded each year. The two 4-year scholarships provide a total of $8,000 each for any campus in the University of California or California State University system. The four 2-year scholarships provide a total of $2,000 each at any California community college. Students may study the subject of their choice. The Robert Miller Memorial Scholarship provides either $500 for Alan Hancock College or $1,000 for Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo. See the link below for the eligibility and study subject requirements of this scholarship.
