CAWG PAC GOLF TOURNAMENT
Please join us in Napa for a fun day on the course to help support the CAWG PAC. Located in the heart of the Wine Country, the two Silverado Resort and Spa championship golf courses are only available to members or resort guests. Redesigned by PGA Hall of Famer Johnny Miller, both courses feature dozens of water crossings, elevation changes and routing through historic oak trees. The day will include a continental breakfast, Bloody Mary bar, lunch, drinks on the course, and skills contests and games.
CAWG’s Political Action Committee provides California winegrape growers the opportunity to support the election of those candidates, for national and state offices, who recognize and understand the many important contributions California winegrowers make to sustain vibrant communities and support a healthy economy. A strong, effective CAWG PAC is an important tool the grower community can use to advocate for issues and candidates that support California winegrape growers. When you contribute to CAWG PAC, you are making an important investment in public advocacy and sound governance.

This past year, a torrent of rain and a heavy snowpack helped California emerge from years of drought. Can we expect a continued wet cycle? And, will we continue to warmer winters, which for many mean earlier bud break and harvests. Despite the benefits of this year’s rainy season, many climate experts believe California may experience more frequent and longer periods of drought and warmer temperatures. If so, how will these climatic conditions affect California growers? Dr. Gregory Jones from Southern Oregon University combines his knowledge of climate science with a deep understanding of wine production.
